Here are a bunch of fast food burger chain logos from over the past several decades. For an exhaustive history of how the logos for these top 10 U.S. chains have developed, check this out.
Two different Coca-Cola ads from two different magazines (Life and Ebony) in the same month (August 1967). Notice any similarities? The white man’s hand has been altered to make it look like a black man’s hand for the Ebony version of the Coke ad.
The strange thing about this (well, one of them) is that Coke was clearly fine with using African-Americans for their other ads. Just not this one.
